1976 brought a new look for the corps. Long Pants! This was a welcome change for the members despite how "comfortable" leather lederhosen was in cold, wet weather. The rule was lederhosen for "official Oktoberfest events" and long green pants for shows and cold weather parades.
This was the last year for the Dutch Boy Cadets before they merged with the Flying Dutchmen Jr. Corps to create the Northstar Drum & Bugle Corps.
