This version of the Cadets of Dutch Boy were newly formed in February 1980 to serve as a training unit for the Dutch Boy Drum Corps. Members were typically 8 to 12 years old and the senior members could graduate to the older corps. This year the corps competed in Novice Class. They won both the Provincial and National Championships.
